Socially isolated and spending days in the studio, the daily walk with the dog the only contact with the outside world, led to thoughts of other forms of isolation and confinement, such as prisons and ghettos. Layering paint into darkly ethereal spaces where the spaces are rendered static, dimmed by their histories of disaster and desolation.
