Invisible Cities Series Vlll

Invisible Cities, a series of six works, is inspired by the themes of memory, perception, and experience in the novel Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino.   The novel is structured as a fictional conversation between the real-life historical figures Marco Polo, a Venetian trader, and Kublai Khan, the emperor of the Mongol Empire. Less schematic than the Berlin series, this body of work evokes spaces, types of spaces that might suggest the ills of modernity and our space-making that is often negligent of hospitality.
